EU funded project “Competition for Youth under the aegis of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration of Georgia and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University”

Within the frames of the European Union funded project "Competition for Youth under the aegis of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration of Georgia and the Institute for European Studies/IES of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University" the essay competition was organised for the students of BA, MA and Doctoral programmes of Tbilisi State University during May and June, 2020. 

The contest was dedicated to Europe Days and the 6th anniversary since the signature of EU-Georgia association agreement and was aiming at raising awareness of EU-Georgia association agreement’s results as well as minimizing the negative impacts of Covid-19 pandemic among the youth. 

The finalists of the competition were awarded the symbolic monetary rewards and the best essays were published in the projectʹs newsletter and uploaded on IES web-site. Moreover, participation in the contest for the students of the Institute for European Studies has been assessed as so called "practical exercise" (internship) for the purposes of their study programmes. This  opportunity was made possible by a tripartite Memorandum between the Institute for European European Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University,  the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration and the Parliamentary Research Centre, concluded on May 8th, 2020 (The first MoU was concluded in 2011).
