Synergy of the Jean Monnet Module “Enlargement Georgia” with the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Yerevan State University

The four top-performing participants of the Jean Monnet Module of the Institute for European Studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University- Ms. Lika Chogadze, Ms. Mari Gobadze, Mr. Davit Kapanadze and Ms. Angelike Al Asmar, participated in the Yerevan Summer School “EU Neighbourhood: History, Policy & Security” . The program was held at the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Yerevan State University, with full funding from the European Union, from July 28 to August 2, 2025.

Within the framework of the Summer School, the Director of the Institute for European Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Head of the Jean Monnet Module, Professor Nino Lapiashvili, conducted a lecture series on the topics of the EUʹs Foreign Security and Defense Policy, as well as EU Enlargement. Her participation was important for further strengthening the knowledge exchange process.

We are glad with the collaboration and synergy that has been created between the Jean Monnet Module of the Institute for European Studies of TSU and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Yerevan State University. Our joint efforts significantly enrich the academic process and create new opportunities for students and researchers, which contributes to the strengthening of the direction of European Studies in the South Caucasus region.
