Admission on English taught interdisciplinary MA Programme in European Studies is open for international applicants

The Institute for European Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is currently accepting the applications of international applicants on its English taught interdisciplinary Masterʹs Programme in European Studies. MA student in European Studies may become a person who holds a Bachelor’s degree (Graduates of the following faculties only: Law, Social and Political Sciences, Humanities, Business and Economics) and passes the entrance exams successfully.

On July 11, 2022 the Institute for European Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University hosted the Graduation Ceremony of the 14th cohort of its English taught Interdisciplinary Master’s Programme in European Studies as well as the celebratory event dedicated to the successful re/accreditation of Bachelor’s and Master’s Programmes in European Studies.

Masterʹs Theses Defense at the Institute for European Studies of TSU

On July 9 2022 the TSU Institute for European Studies hosted the Masterʹs theses defense of the academic year of 2021-2022 within the frames of its English taught Masterʹs Programme in European Studies. Along with Georgian students the theses were presented by the international students of the programme from Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia.

Second International Conference within the frames of the EU funded ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet Project

On 14 and 15 June 2022 the Institute for European Studies of Tbilisi State University hosted the Second International Jean Monnet Conference within the frames of the EU funded ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet Project “Establishing Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s Programme in European Studies at Tbilisi State University” (EUStBA). The conference was a logical follow-up of the previous 4-day Jean Monnet workshops dedicated to the teaching and learning methods and led by the Associated Professor of the TSU Pedagogical Institute

Academic Council of TSU approved for the accreditation purposes the interdisciplinary Master’s Programme in European Studies as well as the new Jean Monnet Bachelorʹs Programme in European Studies

On 11th of April 2022 two academic programmes of the Institute for European Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University – the Master’s Programme in European Studies (established under EC TACIS project) as well as the new Jean Monnet Bachelor’s Programme in European Studies (established under EU Erasmus+ project) were approved by the Academic Council of TSU. This successful development coincided with the symbolic date for our country as the same day Georgia had been handed over the questionnaire by Commission on the EU membership application.
