Today, the 10th of August, TSU Institute for European Studies hosted the open day concerning the recently announced call for applications on the English-taught interdisciplinary Master’s programme in European Studies which was taken place in the first academic building of TSU, auditorium No 216.


 
Call for Applications on Masterʹs Programme in European Studies 2020/2021

Institute for European Studies (IES) of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, established by EU funded project "Establishment of a Center for European Studies", is announcing admission for new  2020-2021 academic year for English-taught interdisciplinary  Masterʹs Programme in European Studies (MAES) with the mobility opportunities into the European Universities and internships in public as well as private sectors.
 
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in South Caucasus scholarships for the students of the TSU Master’s programme in European Studies

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in South Caucasus will award 10 scholarships (the full tuition fee  for Georgian citizens and plus living costs for 5 citizens from other EaP countries) to the highest-ranking students of the Master’s programme in European Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University during the autumn semester of the academic year of 2020-2021.

COVID-19 State of Emergency updates in Georgia

This is to notify that the State of Emergency in Georgia due to COVID-19 has been extended until May the 22nd as well as prohibition on traveling by personal vehicle and/or taxis until April the 27th.

Dear IES Community, 

Today is the day, when exactly six years ago my colleagues and I started the super pro-active dissemination campaign across the EaP region including Georgian Higher Education Institutions in order to recruit the very first cohort of PhD Researchers. This was on the very next day when we got our first accreditation for our brand new EU funded English-taught Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme in European Studies.
 
Notification on recently severed quarantine measures

Dear Students,

I hope you aligned yourselves to Distance Learning quickly and the study process via ZOOM platform goes well.

This is the notification that starting from today, March 31st, the Government of Georgia severed the quarantine measures and introduced a curfew between 21:00 -6:00 until April 21st. 
 
The outbreak of Coronavirus

Dear IES Community,

As you are well aware, COVID-19 is now officially a pandemic, hence, the Government of Georgia imposed new instructions upon all Higher Education Institutions and other entities.

We had been recommended to opt for the distance teaching. Apart from this, the emergency break during the Spring semester had been extended until the 1st of April. This timeline will be used to readjust to new conditions and for preparation of teaching materials. Afterwards, we shall be using various online platforms and tools to recommence the halted education process.
